Edward Mendez Immigration Attorney

Edward A. Mendez is an associate Chicago Immigration Attorney with the Jarecki Law Group. He represents clients in all immigration matters, including family-based, naturalization, asylum, employment-based, and court representation. He has extensive experience with removal defense.

Edward began practicing immigration law in Arizona with a particular emphasis on family-based immigration and removal defense. He also zealously advocated on behalf of immigrant victims of violent crime. After two rewarding and successful years, Edward decided to move his practice to Chicago and joined the Jarecki Law Group in June 2017.

During law school, Edward was a student attorney in the Child Advocacy Clinic, where he represented children in dependency hearings. Edward focused his studies on criminal law and received a criminal law certificate upon graduation.

Edward is a first-generation American on his father’s side of the family and a second-generation American on his mother’s. He is a dual-citizen of the United States and Spain. After graduating from law school, Edward moved to Spain to teach English and improve his Spanish. Upon returning to the United States, Edward reflected on his experience living abroad, and on the experiences of his father and grandparents and decided to pursue a career in immigration.

Prior to law school, Edward was a Litigation Paralegal at Baker Hostetler.
