Valeria Lopez-Fernandez Immigration Attorney
Valeria Lopez-Fernandez is an associate Immigration Attorney with Jarecki Law Group. She primarily represents clients in humanitarian and family-based matters including waivers, marriage-based petitions, asylum, and limited court representation. As the daughter of immigrants, Valeria is passionate about breaking down language barriers and helping people navigate the immigration system in their native languages.
During law school, Valeria was selected as a PILI funded legal intern at Legal Aid Chicago, a Chicago-based nonprofit that works to provide high quality legal aid to people living in poverty and other vulnerable groups. Valeria specifically worked with their Immigrants’ and Workers’ rights group where she assisted in processing U-visas for immigrants who were victims of labor trafficking. In addition, she worked as a student attorney at Chicago-Kent’s Immigration Legal clinic where she assisted clients with their asylum applications. Valeria practices immigration law in Chicago.

Valeria is admitted to practice law in Illinois, which authorizes her to practice federal immigration law throughout the United States. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (“AILA”), the Chicago Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois, and the Hispanic National Bar Association.
